Energy Lab 2.0

As Europe's largest research infrastructure for renewable energy, the Energy Lab 2.0 investigates the intelligent networking of environmentally friendly energy generators and storage methods. In addition, energy systems of the future are simulated and tested based on real consumer data.

A plant network links electrical, thermal, and chemical energy flows as well as new information and communication technologies. The research aims to improve the transport, distribution, storage, and use of electricity, thus creating the basis for the energy transition.

Live Demos

On Monday, the 16th of October, you will have the chance to visit some facilities of Energy Lab 2.0. The visit will last 2 hours in total. Buses are traveling from campus south (eGrid bus station here) to Energy Lab 2.0 (campus north) at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
